Thanksgiving approaches! Our bourbon red turkeys are raised on unsprayed pasture, fed non-GMO, corn-free, soy-free feed, and processed at a USDA-inspected facility. Their feed is supplemented with organic produce from Boise Co-op, and they receive apple cider vinegar in their water to boost their digestive health. Once the turkeys are old enough to go out to pasture, they are moved to fresh grass regularly. Our happy turkeys are unvaccinated and raised in a natural way to avoid needing any medications that would degrade the final product that ends up on the table.
We maximize local sourcing, so we're thrilled to source bourbon red poults from a small farm in Middleton.
Pricing: $6.50/lb
The $10 reservation fee will be subtracted from the total cost. You will receive an invoice prior to pickup/delivery based on the exact weight of your turkey, minus the reservation fee. The weight of the turkey will likely be between 12 and 23 lbs. Bourbon Red turkeys are a heritage breed, so they produce a smaller carcass, but they live a healthier life!
Please note that pasture-raised turkeys may cook up to 25% faster than conventionally-raised turkeys.
The butcher date is November 6. The turkeys will be ready for pickup/delivery a few days after November 6.
